The NAIT Web Development and Production Team plays a pivotal role in designing and developing exceptional digital experiences for students, staff, and stakeholders.

We are committed to enhancing user experiences through innovative design and cutting-edge technologies. Join our team of talented professionals and contribute to shaping the digital landscape of NAIT.

Our team is preparing for a large-scale redevelopment of our website and digital ecosystem.

To support and guide this project effort, we are seeking a talented User Experience specialist with experience in research, audience analysis, testing, and journey mapping.

You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including designers, developers, content strategists, and stakeholders.

Through consultation with our customers and stakeholders, you will provide insights that inform the design process and ensure the development of user-centric solutions across our web platforms and other digital marketing and communications channels.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct user research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Analyze user data, feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and inform design decisions.
  • Develop customer journey maps for our key personas, identifying digital and physical touchpoints, content requirements, and data flows for each point.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure seamless implementation of UX designs.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Proficiency in UX research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and usercentered design methodologies.
  • Able to present and convey information effectively and persuasively to internal clients across the organization and influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on UX design.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a UX Specialist, UX Designer, or similar role, preferably within an agile development environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Remuneration:
$2, $3,317.29 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
