We are actively recruiting an Interior Design Project Manager to be part of our collaborative and innovative TKB Custom Millwork company in Toronto office.

The ideal designer is highly motivated and seeking progressively more responsibilities and assignments on a variety of projects.


Responsibilities Include

  • Develop competitive fee structures reflecting defined scope of services for project pursuits.
  • Establish and manage project schedules.
  • Oversee the completion of projects on time and within the budget.
  • Anticipate, understand, and manage client expectations.
  • Provide leadership to junior designers by leveraging their strengths & providing stretch opportunities and mentorship
  • Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Oversee administration of manufacturing phase procedures and documentation (shop drawings/submittals, requests for information & addenda/clarifications).
  • Oversee development and presentation of appropriate technical solutions to project stakeholders.
  • Oversee, and is responsible for, the identification, understanding and documentation of requirements of regulatory agencies, as well as recognizing and resolving coderelated design issues.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and quality control of project documents.
  • Demonstrate, share and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes and products

Qualifications
Degree from accredited Interior Design program or equivalent.

7+ years of experience in millwork / furniture design.

Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills and detailing.

Demonstrated skills in developing design schemes and coordinating design teams.

AutoCAD / Sketchup / Adobe proficiency and technical excellence.

Knows how to research and document codes for specific projects.

Experience managing a variety of consultants and contractors.

Effective organizational and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Flexible attitude.

Proficiency or experience with managing overall project fees and schedules.

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage client and team relationships including overall work plan development and sub-consultant coordination efforts.

Successful record of pursuing new projects through business development, marketing and client satisfaction.

Confident presentation ability.

Valid driver's license (G2/G).

Potential travel opportunities.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
