Linus Media Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our video editing and camera teams in a dynamic, technical, and content-rich environment with a large and engaged audience.

With over 15M subscribers on Linus Tech Tips, ShortCircuit, and more, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to showcase your skills and leadership to a vast global audience.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively to ensure the delivery of high-quality video content.

As a Production Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Duties:


  • Overseeing the production and postproduction lifecycle, ensuring highquality video and audio output aligned with our brand.
  • Providing and executing thoughtful solutions to challenges arising during the production and postproduction cycle.
  • Utilizing expert knowledge in cameras and lenses, lighting, production scheduling, video codecs, editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve), and audio correction techniques to enhance content quality.
  • Documenting and enforcing copyright and media licensing compliance efforts.
  • Driving team performance through regular 1on1 meetings, discussing performance, career development, and providing support.
  • Conducting postmortem analysis to identify process improvements and implement strategies to boost efficiency and creativity.
  • Collaborating with production supervisors to align team goals with organizational objectives, and managing workflow to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Requirements:


  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to quickly address technical issues and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Demonstrated experience in video and audio production with a solid understanding of copyright and media licensing.
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating crossfunctional teams to success.
  • Expert knowledge in video codecs, editing software, and audio correction techniques.
  • Proficiency in video editing software and knowledge of the latest industry trends.
  • Advanced understanding of cameras and lens systems (mounts, sensor, and camera types)
  • Basic understanding of lighting and light management systems (DMX vs others)
  • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting career growth and team development.
  • Capable of leading discussions on performance improvements and strategy pivots.

Compensation:

For this position, the typical hiring salary range falls between CAD
$85,000 and
$110,000 per year.

The base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, and experience.

LMG's compensation structure is rooted in a performance and merit-based approach that acknowledges the performance of both the individual and the team.
