Position Summary:


The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for supporting the operational design and ongoing support frameworks and structures for Indigenous team based primary care services, including the First Nations-led Primary Health Care Initiative (FNPCI), Joint Project Board initiatives, FNHA Virtual Services, and other primary care initiatives.

The Clinical Project Manager develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external teams.

The position works with the Manager of Clinical Support and Capacity Development, and using a two-eyed seeing approach, leads and manages team-based care capacity development work such as resource development, workshop development and facilitation, development of peer network supports such as communities of practice, and ongoing connection and consultative support for FNHA Regional Teams.

The Clinical Project Manager works in both project and ongoing operations environments.


As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Responsibilities:


  • Using a twoeyed seeing approach, supports the design and implementation of sustainable and successful Indigenous teambased care service models for the FNPCI and FNHA Virtual Services. This may include but is not limited to educational course development and delivery, workflow design, resource development, facilitation of visioning, planning, and/or education sessions.
  • Provides ongoing support to enhance existing Indigenous teambased care service models, including FNPCI, Joint Project Board initiatives, FNHA Virtual Services, and other primary care initiatives. This may include, but is not limited to planning, coordinating and facilitating communities of practice, building and facilitating other peer support networks and learning opportunities, facilitating learning and/or planning sessions with sitebased teams of health care providers.
  • Provides clinical project management support to the FNPCI related to teambased care by assessing and analyzing needs and working with relevant groups to develop and implement plans using a communitydriven, Nation based approach.
  • Supports the Manager of Clinical Support and Capacity Development to provide consultative clinical advising to Regional Managers of Primary Care, as well as Regional Project Managers in relation to FNPCI.
  • Provides clinical project management support to FNHA virtual services, as needed and relevant.
  • Develops briefing notes or decision sheets to support work as needed and relevant.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors' of Science in Nursing
  • Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant experience at a management level working within a complex healthcare setting with a focus on primary and/or community care
  • Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant experience in project management, including initiation, planning, execution, and closing. This may be part of the managementlevel experience above.
  • Minimum of 5 years general experience working in the healthcare system
  • Experience integrating holistic Indigenous approaches with Western approaches
  • Experience working with First Nations people and communities

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


  • Sound ability to practice using culturally safe and traumainformed approaches
  • Familiarity with the Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (BC), the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the "In Pla
