    What we are seeking

    The Buyer, MRO & Indirect Spend plays a vital role in our supply chain team, responsible for procuring equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and services essential for operating GoodLeaf's farms throughout Canada.

    Responsibilities

    • Support maintenance, horticulture, QA, and production teams in replenishing indirect materials for seamless operations.
    • Oversee all MRO responsibilities, including vendor selection and price negotiations.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Manage adherence to established budgets and escalate issues as needed.
    • Conduct market analysis to source products and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor inventory levels and distribution using inventory management systems.
    • Review purchase requisitions, obtain approvals, and ensure timely deliveries.
    • Create purchase orders in the SAGE enterprise system.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely supply of correct parts.
    • Proactively address supply chain issues with vendors.
    • Perform regular inventory counts, adjustments, and maintain accurate data.

    Qualifications & Educational Requirements

    • University degree or college diploma
    • Minimum of 2 years of progressive procurement experience
    • Proficiency in purchasing strategies, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
    • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
    • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong numerical aptitude, accuracy, and attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data handling and reporting.
    • Capable of nurturing enduring relationships with corporate departments, key partners, and stakeholders.
