Join us today Strategic Sourcing Buyer (Indirect) Focusing on the technical sourcing such as CAPEX, MRO, Engineering, Facilities/Factory Services, the Strategic Sourcing buyer will be responsible for delivering year on year cost savings, strategic purchasing plans as well as supplier consolidation projects, working together with the KDC/One team for achieving corporate goals through cost saving and process efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

Estimate potential savings, outlining ease of capture and outline sourcing plan.
Develop category strategies to fit current and future requirements
Partner with Engineering and other technical departments to execute and ensure the integrity and clarity of requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively and support all matters related to the procurement function (Equipment, Materials, Delivery, Service provider and Commercial term)
Lead the implementation of the projects in involving the local plant team, according to a structured and consistent sourcing methodology
Lead the development and execution of the procurement strategy for the assigned categories; interface with Global Procurement counterparts to identify opportunities in the Indirect categories and develop strategies that maximize value
Facilitate set -up and operation of cross-functional project teams to support the project and the following implementation (incl. supplier / material homologation when relevant)
Develop and lead key negotiations of long-term agreements with strategic suppliers to ensure that they meet business needs, adhere to corporate standards and financially deliver against our value commitments
Manage supplier selection, idea gathering and idea evaluation process on a project by project basis
Liaise with the engineering & operation departments and structurally involve suppliers in new product development and innovation from the idea generation stage (build a project pipeline for supplier collaboration)
Gather and share market intelligence in the co-pack supply market to facilitate in-sourcing vs. out-sourcing decisions
Coach the plant indirect sourcing teams to implement a structure, fact-based and consistent strategic sourcing approach
Ensure adherence to category strategies, guidelines and policies, local engagement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
5+years' experience of growing responsibilities in technical procurement, category and project management, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment
Strong project and change management capabilities
In-depth understanding of strategic supplier management (SRM) and Total Cost of Ownership approach
Procurement best practice across diverse spend categories
Experience in working on a project basis, leading and implementing a broad range of purchasing projects
Good communication skills in order to collaborate effectively with various internal departments and managers, as well as with senior management of KDC and of our suppliers
Previous expertise in VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) is a desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication skills
Able to deliver outstanding work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
Capable both as networker and team developer
Available to travel independently primarily within US and Canada with potential international travel
