- Plan, organize and carry out daily operations of work for the Co-operative Education Office requiring strong leadership, teamwork and facilitating skills.
- maintenance of student registration and administration as pertains to the Co-operative Education program
- development and maintenance of extensive documentation of student and employer statistical information, reports, letters, etc.
- development and maintenance of student, faculty and employer records for purposes of reporting, accountability, integrity and credibility
- operation of the placement process for Co-operative Education students (including job posting and closing, application package referrals to employers, interview scheduling, entering rankings for the match, etc.)
- Communicate with faculty, staff, students, employers and parents using both appropriate professionalism and extensive knowledge of SaskPolytech and Co-operative Education programs.
- Design, create and produce information materials, both written and electronic, for Co-operative Education. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. Grade 12 plus a recognized Admin Certificate/Diploma OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of one year recent/relevant experience performing administrative and clerical work.
- Training or experience at the intermediate level in the use of common software packages, ie MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of common office procedures.
- Ability to work independently under generalized supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Effective proofreading skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Effective interpersonal skills.
