About The Role
Are you an excellent communicator and active listener with the ability to proactively put plans in place, conduct phone interviews, and make informed decisions regarding employee recovery and return to work following injury or illness?


What You'll Be Doing

  • Support employees through their medical absence from work by determining benefits available through Employer disability plans.
  • Analyze, review and adjudicate STD and LTD claims.
  • Work with RWAM's Rehabilitation Specialists to proactively put plans in place to support employee recovery and return to work.
  • Conduct thorough phone interviews to assess details of absences resulting in fair and informed claim decisions.
  • Coordinate independent medical examinations when required to support claims.
  • Liaise with Employers, Insurance Carriers and medical practitioners when necessary.

What You'll Bring

  • Bilingual in French and English

  • Strong communication skills

  • You are an active listener with the ability to effectively deal with challenging situations and conversations.
  • The ability to consider complex claims, medical details and contractual language.
  • The ability to assess supporting medical information and make timely decisions using your critical judgment.
  • A postsecondary degree, and/or healthcare background and/or related practical experience
