About the role
The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Senior IT Planner and Integrator
(Information and Data Management Strategist) position.
The Information and Data Management Strategist (Senior IT Planner & Integrator) is accountable for the development and
management of comprehensive, integrated and multi-year services strategies, roadmap and frameworks supporting the House of
Common's long-term objectives and agendas linked to information management and data management directions and plans. The
position is responsible for leading the needs assessments, planning and negotiation for major or long-term information and data
management initiatives across a wide range of services and products (e.g. information quality, Enterprise metadata, Information
lifecycle, enterprise data sharing, information architecture, data architecture, information security and privacy, master data,
analytics and knowledge management) matters. There is also a responsibility for identifying future initiatives and priorities,
supporting senior management in the preparation of funding plans and submissions, and/or contributing to new IM policy,
directives, standards and guidelines.

What you need Diploma or degree in Information Management, Data Management, Analytics, Information
Education Technology, Computer Science OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
related to the work.
- Significant experience (at least 10 years) in information management, data management or
- Experience in developing multiyear plans and roadmaps in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams;
- Experience in the strategic planning, investment planning and IM/IT project management;
- Experience working through several stages of service exploration, definition, and validation;
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to drive consensus and build strong client relationships;
Experience Experience conducting industry best practices research to understand and identify trends and
- business opportunities and needs;
- Experience uncovering customer requirements and working with senior management;
- Experience assessing the maturity of a program;
- Knowledge of IT products and services supporting an information and data management program;
- Knowledge of data analytics concepts.
- Experience in IM/IT products and services supporting an information and data management program;
Other Practical experience in data analytics design and development;
- Experience in the development and implementation of policy instruments.
