About this role
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Team.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining business transactions, managing bank and general ledger reconciliations, processing accounts payable and receivables, and preparing ad hoc reports; reporting directly to Accounting Manager.


You Will:


  • Maintaining books of accounts (including but not limited to preparing cheques, coding and posting invoices, preparing deposits, record business transactions and journal entries, bank reconciliations, verify and process employee expense reimbursement etc.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and collections
  • Managing bank and account reconciliations
  • Assisting in maintaining policy and procedure documentation for complex financial and accounting issues
  • Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the organization's books of accounts.
  • Maintaining an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation and schedule for all financial and bookkeeping activities
  • Managing inventory and maintaining records
  • Maintaining an uptodate, complete, and systematic filing system to support bookkeeping and financial records.
  • Assisting in monthend closing and produce of internal reports and assist in yearend schedules for submission to external auditors.

Qualifications

  • College degree in accounting, finance and related field required
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Experience in Intuit QuickBooks an assets
  • Advanced computer skills and working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; Fluent in Mandarin an asset
  • Good team player
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
