    McCann Canada is on the hunt for a talented and creative Web Developer to help us level up our digital experiences for our clients and their customers.

    Your RoleAs a Developer, your role will include developing custom JAMstack websites, applications, automations, and other integrations for a wide range of platforms and custom digital experiences.

    This role is part of our Digital Solutions team which includes strategy, UX, IA, project management and creative talent across Canada.

    You will have a comprehensive understanding of the current state (and future) of the web—and surrounding technology—and also a sharp sense of design, user-experience, and accessibility.

    You can estimate, scope, build, and execute large-scale digital projects from start to finish.
    You are customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and are skilled using data and creating insights to make decisions. You are a leader in the never-ending process of improving digital experiences for our clients.
    What you will do...Develop and create modern digital experiences.
    Perform maintenance on pre-existing CMS environments.
    Work in a fast-paced environment with compressed timelines.
    Produce code that is compliant with current ADOA and WCAG accessibility requirements.
    Understand and adhere to the technical best practices.
    Assist non-technical team members with technical requests.
    Work with agency partners/vendors and project mangers to support client requests.
    Participate in the full lifecycle of design and development—including ideation, prototyping, development, backwards compatibility, failovers, validation.


    The Ideal Candidate has:


    A passion for web development5 to 7 year of web development experience working on large digital projectsAccessibility knowledge (WCAG 2.0 Level AA)React/VueTailwind/BootstrapVanilla JS/JQueryHeadless CMS (Contentful, Prismic, Sanity)Netlify/VercelGSAPAbility to work in a team and independently.

    Proven ability to simplify and distill complex problems into intuitive and elegant experiencesAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organizationNice to Have:
