The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Risk Management Specialist to join our
Global Projects team in
Toronto. This is a
permanent position.
As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be a part of the Global Projects team, responsible for Project Performance. Additionally, in this position you will
- Ensure portfolio governance structure, policies and procedures.
- Ensure portfolio risk escalation policies, establish portfolio risk response strategies and implement portfolio risk responses.
- Secure efficient and effective value delivery through portfolio risk management best practices.
- Support project risk identification at the project level in several inputs, such as (but not limited to): Project scope statement, Project life cycle, WBS, Activity list, Remaining work, Estimates, Dependencies and sequence of work, Procurement plans, Resource planning, Change requests and historical data.
- Contextualize the risk identification at the portfolio level, considering the enterprise environment such as (but not limited to): Stakeholder analysis, Business Case, Portfolio Governance level success factors, enterprise environmental factors.
- Balance realization of value against overall portfolio risks.
- Monitoring portfolio risks in a tactical and strategic basis.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments. Portfolio risk quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Provide integrated risk monitoring project, program and portfolio in all disciplines.
- Perform ongoing validation of monitoring strategies to ensure appropriate project and portfolio governance and control.
- Define, implement and deploy KPIs (key performance indicators) to ensure compliance processes with the established targets.
- Identify possible improvements to the project and or portfolio and communicate findings to the stakeholders.
- Assist Project Structure in implementing actions to permit compliance with the established targets of the projects ensuring portfolio benefits.
- Plan, execute and followup audits and examinations according to the audits and examinations plan.
- Support the procurement process to ensure that requirements related to quality assurance and risk management are included in the procurement process (Prequalification, ITT and evaluation).
- Plan, execute and follow up training needs within the project organization as to quality assurance matters, risk management system and examination/audit activities.
About You
Education**:
- Undergraduate degree is required
Skills and Experience:
years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Primavera P6, PPM, Deltek Acumen and Primavera Risk Analysis
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Quality/Risk Analyst/Supervisor preferably related to construction, manufacturing and/or installation.
- Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration at University level is preferred, but experience from similar work may compensate for lack of formal education.
