Day Camp Counsellor - Recreation
(Full-time Contract from June 17, 2024 to August 9, 2024)

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

What you'll get to do:

Assist with designing a robust summer activity plan including academics (Math, Science, Arts) settlement and recreation for immigrant children yrs. old.
Support the training of youth volunteers in organizing programming for summer activities for children
Work with other Summer Program Staff to conduct outreach and register children for the Summer Program
Prepare pre and post evaluations and surveys for the parents, participants and the program.
Relationship building and promotion of social interaction among children; thus making new friends.

What you need to know/have:

Ability to work with diverse teams.
Knowledge and understanding of language barriers and cultural challenges faced by newcomer individuals in vulnerable communities.
Good English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Mandarin is considered an asset
Effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills for efficient program design.
Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate work ethics in alignment with CCS core values.

Location:
Toronto, ON

Hours: 35 per week, occasional weekends and evenings may be required.

Compensation:
$16.55 per hour
