    Description

    Summary:

    As an Azure DevOps Specialist, you will be a key member of our IT team, responsible for implementing and optimizing Azure DevOps practices and tools to streamline our software development and delivery processes. You will leverage your expertise in Azure DevOps to design, build, and maintain automated pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and facilitate collaboration across development, operations, and quality assurance teams.

    • 5+ years' experience with Azure DevOps, focus on dashboards/wiki/boards/pipelines/artifacts, GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD Pipelines, etc.
    • 2 days/week in Markham (Tuesdays (anchor day)/Thursdays)

    Primary Goals

    • Develop migration plans and scripts
    • Customize Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, Test Plans and validate configurations
    • Work with PM to schedule for Azure DevOps migration
    • Backup for DevOps Engineer

    What You Will Do:

    • Help Lines of Business, PODS, projects, setup, configure and administer their work in Azure DevOps
    • Ensure implementation of Technical, Governance, Security, standards in each new Azure DevOps setup
    • Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
    • Coach Scrum Team Leads on Azure DevOps Toolset practices and principles, ensuring adherence to governance and guidelines
    • Act as Citizen Enablement Lead on Azure DevOps Toolset for the organization. Identify areas of strength and improvement within the project teams and employ appropriate coaching and development techniques to enhance performance
    • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
    • Help create and support an Azure DevOps Community of Practice to drive continuous improvement

    What You Need to Get the Job Done:

    • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
    • 5+ years' experience with Azure DevOps, focus on dashboards/wiki/boards/pipelines/artifacts, GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD Pipelines, etc.
    • GitLab administration/orchestration/automation/Cloud CI/CD pipelines/Jenkins/Ansible
    • Focus of the role is on enabling & training other scrum masters/Azure DevOps administrators throughout the organization on the Azure DevOps toolset
    • 5+ years of experience in Agile project management, as well as strong fundamentals in advanced analytics, data integration, and visualization leading agile projects
    • At least one of the following certifications: CSM, PMI-ACP, SSM, SAFe RTE, or SPC
    • Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications
    • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and JIRA
    • Extensive experience in leading, guiding, and coaching Agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in Agile environment
    • Knowledge of SAFe framework including SAFe principles, values and practices and implement them in real-world projects
    • Basic understanding of the API Engineering and Integration Platforms
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong adaptability and interest to know new skills continuously needed to play the role of Scrum Master effectively
    • Strong experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
    • Strong team player able to work with people from diverse backgrounds
