    AltaGas - Sr Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting

    Reporting to the Director, FP&A, and working closely with Midstream FP&A, Midstream Finance, and other stakeholders this role will deliver value-added business reporting, and analysis on results of operations and planning deliverables such as budgets and outlooks.

    You Will:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, variance and trend analysis which provide actionable insight to business leaders
  • Provide informed and comprehensive responses, reflecting business knowledge and insight, to stakeholder queries related to Midstream financial results
  • Plan, organize, and deliver key sections of the annual budget process such as G&A or Capital budgets
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Finance, Operations Commercial teams, and other corporate functions
  • Work with stakeholders, prepare comprehensive budget and outlook presentations
  • Work with stakeholders to develop detailed timelines and deliverables for a variety of planning and reporting processes
  • Identify and lead work to improve quality and timeliness of financial information provided by Midstream FP&A
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of planning and reporting processes and tools, including the implementation of new processes and new planning software

    • You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, planning or financial analysis roles
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, and the ability to build and work with complex models
  • Energetic self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to organize and influence stakeholders
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Interest in using technology to improve processes, access data and communicate information in a meaningful way to business leaders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge in Think-Cell, Power BI, JDE and financial modeling software
