- Certificate in Business Continuity Planning or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with Business Continuity Planning industry standards and best practices and Risk Management and Crisis Management (ICS/BCEMS) principles and practices.
- Experience with facilitating groups to consensus, developing and delivering adult training and designing and delivering emergency management exercises.
- Experience in the application of project management principles.

The Management Services Branch promotes financial accountability and provides expert financial and business advisory services that help the Ministry of Education and Child Care to operate its programs and achieve its business objectives and provides leadership in the development of a healthy organizational culture.
The Business Continuity Advisor will promote, plan, develop, implement, test, and monitor ministry-wide business continuity plans to ensure business priority and mission critical ministry services and processes continue to function or are returned to service as quickly as possible in the event of a business interruption.
