    12 per hour plus KM allowance

    Joseph's Home Care is dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to individuals in their homes and/or alternative settings on a visiting or clinic basis.

    Registered Practical Nurses enhance the life of their clients by providing a range of care to clients with predictable outcomes, within the framework of SJHC's policies and procedures and the standards of practice prescribed by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

    Through their work, Registered Practical Nurses contribute to the healing and independence of their clients and promote the continual improvement of the overall health of the community.


    Functions independently in the community and provides quality nursing care, within their scope of practice, for clients and families who have a plan of care and for whom outcomes of care are predictable.

    Utilizes the nursing process effectively in order to provide high quality nursing care for clients and/or caregivers in all client situations.

    Within the scope of practice for an RPN, follows plan of nursing care, including discharge plan.

    Maintains current competence and participates in continuing professional development opportunities, obtaining advanced or specialized nursing skills to meet client care needs, when necessary.

    Performs foot care services in home and clinic settings.

    Practical Nursing Diploma from an accredited college program with evidence of IV medication administration as part of the basic educational curriculum OR
    Practical Nursing Diploma from an accredited college program and IV medication administration certificate from an accredited college program if this content was not included in the basic diploma educational curriculum OR
    Basic and Advanced Foot Care Certification
    Can effectively use software for client documents, word processing and communication.
    Good work performance and attendance record are essential.
    Valid driver's license. Proof of $1 million liability automobile insurance.

    Do you have a valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle?
    This is a community nursing position with requires driving. Are you COVID 19 Vaccinated with minimum 2 doses?
    Do you have experience working as a community home care nurse?
    Do you have a Foot Care Certificate? This is a Part-Time position with approximately 45 hours biweekly. What are you available days and shift times?
    RPNs are unionized with the LIUNA Local 3000
    12 Each level is equivalent to 1500 of work experience.
    52 cent per km you drive in addition to hourly wage.
