This journey will lead to improve project outcomes, being able to leverage the digital twin, systems integration and interoperability, support for decision-making, autonomous execution, and integrated operations and performance centers.


The Solution Analyst proactively works with both client and business owners, representatives and users to understand and translate business requirements into information technology solutions.

The Solution Analyst keeps abreast of technology advances and is responsible for making the business aware of any business opportunities or constraints due to technology developments.


  • Engage business partners, gather/review business requirements and project proposals to translate them into functional designs and solution suggestions
  • Evaluate the design, quality, stability and maintainability of solutions including standard and custom processes/solutions to meet organizational needs
  • Prepare documentation (user stories, procedures, processes, user manuals and test cases) according to standards and need
  • Respond to client and business priorities and projects and negotiate scope, budget and timing for fixes and enhancements with the business and the development teams
  • Actively engage with all interested stakeholders and representative user groups in determining solution strategy and requirements, communicating where necessary to ensure appropriate resources are available from the business, reviewing progress, demonstrating interim work results, conducting user testing and releasing to production
  • Work together with the client or business representatives to package up and prioritize work for investigations, maintenance sprints, incremental/agile development sprints and projects and in translating functional needs into user stories or development specifications
  • Working in a team environment, work with the agile teams to ensure the user stories are executed, tested, reviewed with the business and all progress is reported, pitching in with any skills needed to get the team's backlog across the finish line, including negotiating timelines, resourcing or backlog items, testing, grooming the backlog of features in priority, etc
  • Engage with the client and business to implement effective change management and training practices when implementing solutions
  • Facilitate the collection of user feedback and work with the business to facilitate escalation of end user issues
  • Proactively manage technical problem resolution, involving vendors and other Hatch Digital members as appropriate
  • Together with the business owners, create, manage and further effective vendor relationships at all organizational levels
  • Support the production environment, assisting administrators and support teams in their roles to ensure acceptable system performance and uptime, adhering to Hatch's change management strategy
  • Ensure provision of adequate and current technical documentation related to the solutions and their administration
  • Implement usage, performance and totalcostofownership metrics and develop strategies to address as appropriate
  • Collaborate on all matters pertaining to infrastructure / architecture requirements, including networks, databases, storage, software licensing, technology recovery plans
