    ATCO Frontec is seeking a ticketed Carpenter to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, Alberta . The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairs, restores, and installs structural wood/steel work and related materials.

    The main locations the Carpenter will be supporting are the Rocky Mountain Cadet Training Centre in Waiparous and all applicable sites in Calgary.

    Structural inspections of the building envelope
    Door systems and rekeying - installing locks, doorknobs, and other building hardware
    General repair work including but not limited to, maintaining doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and exteriors of buildings; builds and installs door and window framing
    Construction and renovation work, roofing, crawl spaces
    Build wooden/steel structures such as partitions, building, office additions, does sheeting and rough carpentry on the buildings as well as final finishes
    Perform hand and bench work in carpentry workshop; operate planers, joiners, drill presses, power saws, sanders, and other woodworking machinery
    Repair and maintain hand tools, saws, and other carpentry tools
    The successful candidate holds a Red Seal in Carpentry
    Minimum of 3 years of experience, specifically in building maintenance
    Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
    Good mechanical skills and understanding of building components and equipment

    This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre-employment alcohol & drug test, fit to work medical test, and criminal record check.
