    Job Title:

    Principal - Business Advisory Services, Financial Services

    The Vancouver Business Advisory team is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to drive the growth of our Financial Services capability in Vancouver. This role collaborates closely across our capabilities to identify customer needs, refine offerings, ensure excellence in delivery and drive client sales. With a care for people, this role is also responsible for people leadership, contributing to forecasting, hiring and business operations for the practice. This individual will have client delivery responsibilities, and the ability to advise and deliver top-notch solutions for C-suite clients.

    What You'll Do:

  • Seek opportunities to convert engagements into longer programs through excellent delivery leadership, building client relationships and trusted partnerships.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project financial & operational health
  • Participating in business development meetings and preparing and presenting sales materials.
  • Contribute to the creation of go-to-market offerings relevant to organizational transformation efforts, particularly in relation to digital transformation and disruption.
  • Model collaborative behaviors, engage in productive conflict and proactively contribute to building team vision and strategy.
  • Be an advisor to industry teams, providing guidance to business transformation planning and execution on delivery commitments.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to consultants, helping them in delivery and providing guidance on career growth.
  • Mentor clients, work on projects independently or collaboratively, and lead teams to successful project delivery.
  • Navigate various industries, swiftly building client knowledge and credibility across projects of varying durations

    • What You'll Bring:

  • You will be a people, client, and outcome focused leader.
  • With at least 5 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on technology enablement and business transformation, including a minimum of 3 years of consulting experience specifically within the Financial Services sector.
  • Skills in key business advisory-linked competency areas including strategy design and implementation, facilitation of workshops, business analysis, process assessment, project management, outcomes measurement, change management and organizational design specialist.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of modern technology – including emergent tools and trends like Generative AI – and how organizations must adapt to make the most out of technology-driven change.
  • A "self-starter" mentality excited by the prospect of a fast-paced environment, passionate about helping clients navigate technology or other types of transformational change.
  • Efficient and collaborative approaches for defining business value and quantifiable outcomes, providing business gap analysis, and building project plans and roadmaps.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver detailed and summary status reporting, and effectively set and manage expectations with clients, project teams and within Slalom.
  • Proficiency in risk and issue management, along with effective communication and escalation skills. Capability to pre-emptively address obstacles, fostering an environment conducive to productive conflict resolution.

    • Hybrid/In office: We are hybrid but there are expectations that if your team leader requires you onsite that you are able to meet those expectations/requirements

    Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the expected base salary pay range is $130,000 to $150,000. In addition, there is potential for an 12% discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation will depend upon individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
