We are currently seeking aPartTime Personal Attendant to work with our
AbleLiving Binbrook Team at our congregate living program
_ Please note:
this location is not accessible by public transit - access to a vehicle or reliable transportation is a requirement for this position_
AbleLiving Services is part of the Thrive Group. We are a not-for-profit organization that provides services that are funded through the Local Health Integration Network of Hamilton, Norfolk, Haldimand, Brant (HNHB LHIN). Ableliving opened its doors in 1978 with the first project being our Binbrook location. We continue to build the organization and provide exceptional services with the support from the HNHB LHIN. Our Binbrook location provides supports for individuals with disabilities, seniors, as well as those with long-term chronic ventilation support needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the provision of personal support services to people with disabilities and/or seniors are requirements for this position.
- High School Diploma
- Additional certification in personal support care, first aid, health care or other related qualification preferred
- Ability to empathize with people with physical and emotional needs is essential
- Knowledge of basic math and ability to do calculations and quantity measurements are required
- Must be able to plan and organize work and perform tasks according to priority
- Ability to make solid decisions and problemsolve effectively are also essential
- Good oral and written communication skills, with a competent level of English are requirements
- Able to communicate in other languages is an asset
- Must demonstrate high commitment to providing exceptional customer service and be reliable, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively
- Ability to develop supportive relationships and work collaboratively with clients, family members, colleagues, volunteers, and community partners are essential
- Must be able to take direction and work independently as well as part of a team
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check or Criminal Reference Check is required
As a condition of employment, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or provide proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer prior to your start date.
