About the Role
The Quality Control Inspector is a positive, reliable, solution-oriented team player.

Able to manage multiple activities and pivot quickly to other priorities, the Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all Steelhaus product meets all engineering requirements.

Position Status: Full-Time Permanent

Shifts:


  • Weekday (Mon-Thurs: 6:00 am 4:00 pm)
  • Afternoon (Mon-Thurs: 4:00 pm 2:00 am)
  • Weekend (Fri-Sun: 8:00 am 8:00 pm)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform firstoff, inprocess, and final dimensional inspection of machined components using calibrated tooling including micrometers, calipers, MRPs and hard gauges
  • Calibrate tools using high precision reference standards
  • Monitor, evaluate and recalibrate tooling that has expired calibration
  • Perform technical receiving activities to ensure received raw material and outsourced machined components meet requirements
  • Initiate Nonconformance Reports where requirements are not met

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop (welding inspection experience does not apply)
  • 2+ years of following procedures and completing records of activities
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to follow Technical Instructions and complete Forms in compliance with product requirements
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 Quality Systems
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Suit
  • Demonstrated team player with a positive attitude
  • Possesses high level of attention to detail
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time, bending, and twisting; able to lift medium loads (50 lbs or less)
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak English
