Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Project Coordinator on a permanent basis on our Facilities Design & Development team.

This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada.


What you'll do:


  • Act as a point of contact for Retails and Zones for project intake.
  • Utilize established best practices to understand business objectives and conduct preliminary site investigations.
  • Utilize established best practices and templates to complete detailed investigation of current site conditions.
  • Coordinate the completion of detailed conceptual drawings required to clearly define the proposed scope of work.
  • Develop the comprehensive RFE capital budget for use in RFE approvals using historic cost information, quotations and available resources.
  • Finalize contract procurement method and procure engineering consultants in conjunction with FCL's Procurement department.
  • Support preconstruction meetings to establish and clarify schedule, budget, change management, risk mitigation, safety requirements, deliverables and roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead small project independently, and assist project team members with larger projects.
  • Travel is anticipated to be up to 30% throughout Western Canada.

Who you'll work with:


You will work closely with other functions in our Supply Chain business unit and collaborate across the organization with assigned internal resources to execute projects within established schedules, budgets and customer service standards.

You will work closely with and be supported by a team of drafting technologists, project coordinators, project supervisors and a project manager.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

  • Have 3-6 years of relevant experience in construction project management and contract administration experience.
  • Have a Diploma or bachelor's degree in business or engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have strong communication, leadership, organization and problemsolving skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
