Summary:


RESPONSIBILITIES
**_
Communications_**- Utilizes excellent writing skills demonstrating mastery of tone and style, provides editorial calendar support to Marketing and Communications Manager by writing and/or editing blog posts, staff updates, promotional messages, media advisories and other content

  • Coordinates content collection, drafting and distribution of internal staff news update in collaboration with other teams
  • Supports Marketing and Communications team on fulfilling editorial calendar objectives, drafts and/or posts content for all organizational blogs
  • Applies specialized knowledge of audience targeting to design content for our social channels and prepare, schedule, distribute and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Communicate with external stakeholders (artists, community members) to collect content on campaign basis
  • In coordination with departmental colleagues and some crossdepartmental staff, measures and reports on some promotional and PR plans and activities for Artscape initiatives
  • Involved with public relations (PR) by researching relevant media influencers, monitoring media mentions tracking digital/print media clippings and measuring performance
  • Provides organizational administrative support through HR social postings, updating internal communications documents
  • Contributes to Marcom team meetings and planning sessions, as needed, that result in measurable organizational outcome deliverables
  • Completes financial account reconciliation including receipt coding, etc. in accordance with financial policies and budgets.
  • Creates records of photo credits/permissions and licensing for special projects

Marketing_**- Manages post materials via Buffer and/or Plannable on our social channels

  • Communicates with external stakeholders (artists, community members) to collect content on campaign basis
  • Works with all departments to support digital and print marketing initiatives
  • Provides insight into campaign metrics, postcampaign (intandem with Digital Marketing Manager)
  • In consultation with colleagues, executes and measures performance of all Google AdWords and AdWords Express campaigns

Social Media_**- In consultation with VP, Community Experience, plans and executes Artscape's content strategy on all social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) for HQ and provides oversight and support to Artscape hub staff responsible for social media channels

  • Develops social media campaign strategies and coordinates deployment; manages content calendar and drafts social content (text/images/graphics) according to accepted standards & best practices; factchecks and proofreads social post content; maintains Artscape's social media guidelines and provides guidance and support to local content managers, sharing knowledge of social media best practice in training sessions
  • Conducts administration for online accounts related to social media; analyzes data and reports on success of social media efforts
  • Liaises with other departments to schedule and fulfill sponsor recognition promises on social and digital platforms, delivering on stakeholder expectations and achieving excellence in client/partner service
  • Provides consultation to HR on social platforms best suited for recruitment and deploys social mediabased recruitment strategies
  • In coordination with team colleagues and some crossdepartmental staff, tracks, measures and reports on all social media
  • Creates wellorganized records of social media digital assets

Web_**- Applies solid knowledge of basic HTML and WordPress content management platforms to perform content updates and build simple web pages on Artscape websites, as needed; coordinates some content acquisition and editing; participates in website development projects (ex. collects user feedback, adds metadata to pages, assists in debugging processes)


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post secondary education in journalism, communications, marketing, business administration or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing and communications
  • Demonstrated experiences with communications, public relations and social media planning and evaluating of campaigns and initiatives
  • Experience coordinating social media, newsletter and website content and posts
  • Enriched knowledge of marketi
