    The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids (CCMH at SickKids) is a child and youth mental health centre integrated withThe Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).CCMH at SickKids is undertaking an ambitious agenda to establish a revitalized academic community mental health centre that provides the highest quality of care, combined with excellence in teaching and community-based research.

    CCMH at SickKids is locatedacross two sites in Toronto and offers both in-person and virtual care to clients and their families, from prevention and early intervention through assessment, counselling and therapy and intensive services.

    We are also connected to the continuum of mental health services for children and youth supported by SickKids:

    the Brain and Mental Health Program, theSickKids TeleLink Mental Health Program, theSickKids CCMH Learning Instituteand our online resources throughAboutKidsHealth.

    We are seeking applicants to fill a full-time regular position as a Child and Family Therapist with our Intensive Services for Youth program.

    The Child and Family Therapist provides direct mental health treatment services, including individual, family and/or group treatment to clients within the context of the family, school and community.

    Coordinates services with internal and external service providers, requesting and reviewing existing documentation and reports to inform client service and treatment planning
    Collaborates with the family, the supervisor, and inter-professional teams in the development of a service plan and to support treatment planning
    Facilitate therapy groups for youth, and families
    in a timely and succinct manner meeting agency, professional and legal requirements
    Promotes the direction of the program and Centre by engaging in identifying, developing and implementing program goal(s), projects or services
    May provide services both in-office and within client's homes and communities
    Complies with the organization's vision, policies and procedures
    Minimum 3 years related experience in children's mental health treatment, including working with adolescents
    Good problem-solving skills to analyse complex client issues and recommend solutions
    Ability to use computer software tools and resources, such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    As a health care centre, our highest priority is the safety of patients, families and staff.

    Therefore, any offer of employment is conditional upon proof of full vaccination with a Health Canada or World Health Organization (WHO) approved COVID-19 vaccination no later than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the effective start date.

    Should there be an exemption of vaccination based on a medical, or human rights reason, proof will need to be provided, in addition to participation in regular COVID-19 testing based on exposure risk as well as participation in vaccine education.
