We are hiring a
Vice-President, Academic to work at our Toronto Office.


The
Vice-President, Academic serves as a leader in the academic operations and reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hanson College.

This position provides strategic directions for academic operations and administrative oversight to meet the needs of our students and to ensure their academic success.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the academic operations of all Hanson College's Ontario campuses, to ensure student success and the expansion of student learning outcomes to meet the educational needs of students in a studentcentered learning environment.
  • Oversee effective communication between the College and its regulatory bodies and the College's partnership institution regarding compliances, program delivery, and curriculum implementations.
  • Understand, adopt, and utilize the mission of Hanson College and relate it to strategic planning, implementation of the educational master plan, and all decisionmaking and goalsetting activities.
  • Provide effective and strong dynamic leadership in academic and administrative areas to advance scholarship, teaching, and high performance.
  • Provide academic staff and faculty members with leadership, guidance, supervision, training, coaching, support, and discipline.
  • Serve as a leader in the shortterm and longterm planning of educational programs, curriculum development, quality of instruction, and selection and development of a distinguished faculty.
  • Maintain and continuously improve current knowledge of regulations and policies pertaining to the College as determined by provincial educational entities, businesses, industry, government, and legislative bodies.
  • Supervise and ensure academic policies and procedures are implemented; organize Program Advisory Committees as well as curriculum mapping sessions.
  • Collaborate with other departments at Hanson by having regular open communication and collaboration with the team leaders and managers.

Education and Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree, or University Degree in a relevant field, with a record of professional accomplishment in Academics, planning, and scheduling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experiences in academia with a proven track record of success.
  • Selfdirected approach with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and execute at a high level.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong industry, regulatory, and policy knowledge of Academia.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change, influencing change, and facilitating consultative decisionmaking processes.
  • Team player with a clientcentric mindset and positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in an academic setting is required.
