Manual Machinist

As Manual Machinist you will be responsible to:

Operate manual lathes, mills & grinders to precision of 0.0005";
Set up and dial in components before turning, milling or grinding;
Accurately measure tolerances to 0.0005";
Maintain schedules and delivery targets;
Read and interpret drawings to determine work requirements;
Line boring requirements within the workshop and out on site;
Complete work activities accurately and on time with mínimal supervision;
Complete ISO documentation as required;
Maintain equipment cleanliness and correct operation;

Potential applicants should have the following skills and experience:

+2 years machining experience;
Familiar with tolerances as low as 0.0002";
Strong mechanical aptitude;
Highly organized and experience working within deadlines in a fastpaced environment;
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, including written and verbal;
Strong data analysis skills, coupled with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy of results;
Familiar with quality management and continuous improvement processes;
Good decisionmaking & problemsolving capabilities;
Welding and millwright experience would be considered an asset.
