    Description

    What you will do:

  • Set up, program and operate the press according to job specifications.
  • Inspect the print run for colour accuracy, print clarity and conformance to specifications.
  • Monitor quality for control of colour, registration and ink density.
  • Maintain inventory levels to ensure smooth operation of each print run.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks to keep the press running in top form.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make minor repairs to the press.

    • What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • As a minimum requirement, you must have a grade 12 or equivalent and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Prior experience operating a printing press is an asset but not required as we are willing to train the right person.
  • Operating as part of a team, you are not afraid to take on tasks needed to get the job done.
  • Displays a can do/will do attitude and goes beyond to deliver the unexpected.
  • Open to new challenges and learning opportunities as they arise.
  • Great organizational abilities, as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is a must.
  • Heavy lifting may be required from time to time.
