Equipment Operator - Fort McMurray, Canada - Secure Energy
Description
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:- Operate equipment while adhering to all safe work practices and procedures
- Follow Secures' operating standards and procedures
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
- Conduct preoperational checks on equipment. Complete walkarounds, safety checks and ensure equipment is running properly
- Secure special attachments to equipment
- Operate twoway radios and other communication when required
- Minor repairs to equipment. Report any necessary reports to the supervisor
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol
- One or more years experience operating equipment in industries such as civil earth works, pipelines, or Oil & Gas
- 1 year equipment operation experience
- A minimum of 5,000 hours in Heavy Equipment operations
- Drug, Alcohol & Fitness Testing
- Possession of a valid class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Ground Disturbance)
- Grade 12 or GED
- Must have steel toe work boots; other personal safety gear is an asset
- Ability to Work variable shifts & hours
- Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
- Must be physically fit, heavy labour is required
- Can work well as a team member or independently with little direction
- Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated
- Strong detail orientation with computer skills
