Job Description:

Exciting opportunity to learn more about M&A from the top strategic acquirer of software companies.

The focus will be on assisting the M&A teams at Jonas Software with the following projects:

Contribute to the growth of the existing M&A funnels by identifying and evaluating strategic software acquisition opportunities for investment portfolios across industries including Sports, Supply Chain & Logistics, Payments, etc.
Support the Corporate M&A team with diversifying investment portfolio by identifying new vertical markets across Canada, Latin America & Europe
Deliver continuous improvement on the process for the identification of acquisition opportunities, in collaboration with internal & customerfacing teams
Conduct industry research on core vertical markets to identify major competitors, industry trends, and business risks etc.
Support business development teams for adhoc requests for specific research

Qualifications:

Meticulous work habits
Strong organizational skills you do not let the details slip
Strong internet research skills (knowledge in Capital IQ, CrunchBase is a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work independently
Ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks
Experience with CRM solutions, like Salesforce is an asset
