As the Parking Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Parking Services branch, which operates as a self-funded business unit of the city.
The branch's revenues are managed to cover operational costs, fund significant capital investments, meet debt repayment requirements and return funds to reduce overall taxation.
Parking Services is responsible for parking planning, enforcing traffic bylaws, management of public parking facilities - including three parkades and twenty-four surface lots, on-street pay parking, time restricted and resident only zones, event parking, equipment maintenance/collections, public EV charging and multiple parking permit programs.
You have a post-secondary diploma in Business, Public Administration, Engineering Technology, or a related field as well as a Parking Management Certification (PMC) and Bylaw Enforcement and Investigative Skills Level 1.
You have extensive knowledge in parking and/or bylaw enforcement. You are a proven influential leader with excellent communication, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and build strong working relationships and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
