- Responsible for supervising the planning, execution, and completion of engineering prototype builds
- Develop assembly methods and techniques for use by production team
- Manage and mentor a team of technicians
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that prototypes meet design specifications and performance requirements
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing to identify and resolve any issues or defects
- Oversee the documentation of prototype development processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Technologist or equivalent
- 3-6 years of experience in Prototype Builds or similar in a manufacturing setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position
- Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, soldering and welding equipment, etc.
- Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
