    Our Calgary office location specializes in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. Heavy industrial Facilities

    We are currently searching for a Senior Structural Engineer with 15-20 years' experience to join our team in Calgary.

    Oil & Gas and/or Mining experience is considered an asset.

    The selected candidate will be working with Lead Engineers and Project Managers as well as providing technical mentorship for other Structural Engineers.

    Work with lead engineers to scope out projects, establish project objectives

    • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical etc.
    • Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and industry standards, engineering formulas, and experience
    • Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents
    • Develop construction cost estimates for projects within the department
    • May serve as Project Engineer and as a designated Client contact on smaller, less complex projects
    • Develop engineering estimates and assist with proposal development
    • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
    • Be familiar with structural analysis software SFrame / STAAD
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
    • Experience with site grading and roadway design is an asset for this position
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive client and project team relationships
    • Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines

    A copy of a valid work permit may be required.

    • These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
    • Periodic travel within Canada to client sites and regional Tetra Tech offices will be required
    • Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing and background checks may be required for our client worksites
    • Must be able to adhere to our Office Vaccination & Covid Policies. We will be confirming your eligibility to comply with these requirements.
