Position Overview:


Reporting to the Director, Flight Operations, the Manager, Crew Services will manage the Crew Services team to ensure the efficient operation of the department.

This will include oversight of crew uniforms and budget, hotel relationships, crew, and corporate RAIC administration, and will be the focal point for crew communications for non-technical aspects of flight operations.


Primary Job Functions:


The duties of the
Manager, Crew Services include:


  • Contribute to and work directly with Flight Operations Management on all Flight Operations related issues, including daily departmental functions, distribution of pilot memos, updating Document Manager, research and coordination of departmental manual amendments, minutes of meetings, participate in Company audits, etc.
  • Manage a team of administrators in completing the day too task associated with Crew Services
  • Provide guidance to new hire employees with regard to company Email addresses, document requirements, RAIC clearances, memo procedures/Document Manager, TSA clearances, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a wide variety of special projects
  • Support IT in managing the Crew EFB program
  • Coordinate TSA clearances for flight training conducted in the United States, both for initial and recurrent phases
  • Support new hire pilot and flight attendant ground school course and be the primary person/team responsible for crew initiation. Development, maintenance, and distribution of the new hire pilot package on initial ground school, and provide onsite support for training classes
  • Manage all aspects of crew uniforms including the database, correspondence with vendors, delivery of uniforms to crew members and manage the budget of crew uniforms
  • Manage all aspects of the documents, manuals etc. that are required on the aircraft. Ensure they are up to date and replaced with current documentation. Responsible for the tracking, replacement of the QRH on the cycle, insurance, dangerous good documentation, flight deck cards, and all other documentation
  • Development and revision of various support documentation within Flight Operations
  • Provide backup for other Flight Operations staff as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:


  • Degree or diploma in Administration, Office Administration or Business is preferred

Experience:


  • Five (5) years of relevant experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on leadership and team management in a similar setting
  • Proven track record of effectively managing financial budgets
  • Previous experience in a Flight Operations department is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) requirements and regulations is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Apple iPad and iOS systems is preferred

Requirements:


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Ability to successfully complete a preemployment alcohol and drug screening test
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
