Intern, Finance & Accounting:

The Intern, Finance & Accounting will have an opportunity to develop hands-on experience in a Seaspan finance & accounting function.

This internship will provide an entry level professional with real world learning opportunities in an engaging environment supporting their career development.

What you'll do

Support governance initiatives through data management and documentation
Prepare supplier prequalifications utilizing facts and data from D&B reports, company websites, and other sources
Conduct GST verifications using proprietary software
Produce monthly reconciliations by sorting, grouping, and organizing financial data in Excel

What you'll bring:

Enrollment in a Business Administration or Commerce postsecondary degree program.
Completion of introductory accounting classes is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership in work and/or academics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization
Proficient technical skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Financial Systems)
Ability to pay close attention to detail, to think creatively, and to problem solve
