    Sr. HR Business Partner, Canada


    Align Technology is seeking a senior HR Business Partner and country HR Leader to help shape and drive the talent agenda in our growing Canada organization.

    Description


    As the Sr. HR Business Partner, you will provide full‑cycle HR support and business leadership across multiple verticals, serving as the link between business and HR to analyze trends in engagement, retention, performance management, compensation, and leadership development.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead HR processes for the growing Canada organization across multiple business verticals and functions.
    • Partner with senior business leaders to identify capabilities aligned with business goals/workforce plans, conduct gap analysis, and develop and implement buy/build strategies.
    • Provide HR expertise and collaborate with functional HR Specialist teams across the Americas in succession planning, talent management, acquisition, O.D., employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training and development.
    • Analyze HR trends and metrics to proactively develop solutions, programs and policies.
    • Diagnose individual, team, and organization issues and recommend interventions; coach higher‑level managers on performance feedback and management processes.
    • Identify and mitigate potential HR risks and support managers to create a positive employee environment.
    • Interpret and implement Canada‑specific HR policies, practices, and procedures; keep them updated with current employment law; partner with payroll on related issues.
    • Lead the cross‑functional team for future office moves as the organization expands.
    • Drive engagement, culture, and change‑management initiatives.
    • Act as the Canada lead for assigned global/regional talent‑management initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
    • 10 years of progressive HR experience in a fast‑paced environment, at least 5 years in employee relations/business partnership.
    • Experience supporting VP level clients and driving full talent lifecycle actions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work collaboratively across HR on special projects.
    • Solution‑oriented with attention to detail.
    • Collaboration and influencing skills with a track record of positive reputation across organization levels.
    • Knowledge of local employment law across all provinces of Canada.
    • CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) designation.
    • Willingness to travel 10‑20%; some international travel required.
    • Experience working with a US company preferred.
    • Experience in a matrixed organization preferred.
    • Proficiency in French preferred.

    Base salary ranges are the amount Align reasonably expects to set for the position. Actual placement depends on skills and experience as well as total compensation. For locations outside the primary area, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically.
