    RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Plan team manpower requirements to ensure production targets are met within the budgeted cost structure.
  • Organize team meetings to effectively communicate relevant information to all employees.
  • Assign and monitor operators and warehouse staff the time required to complete tasks, noting assigned tasks, and communicating approximate time of completion.
  • Ensure that service level requirements are met for all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Ensure that staging, picking, and packing procedures are followed, and that overall production meets or exceeds customer quality standards.
  • Flag priority orders and revise schedules to accommodate outgoing orders.
  • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
  • Handle all disciplinary situations in an appropriate and timely manner, supported by adequate documentation.
  • Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships while assessing service needs; communicate as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Carry out the duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including legislation relating to safety, violence, and harassment.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as required.

    • EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years' experience in distribution (3PL experience would be an asset).
  • At least two (2) years supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL operations role.
  • Experience in e-commerce would be an asset.
  • At least one year's experience in a warehouse environment using material handling equipment.

    • EDUCATION

  • A college diploma in business management with a specialization in logistics management or equivalent experience is preferred.
