Yurek Pharmacy & Home Healthcare supports clients' retail pharmacy, mobility, healthcare, and other specialized needs.

Yurek Mobility supports our clients with delivery, set-up, repair, and maintenance services for various home medical and mobility equipment options (including wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and lifts) to keep them independent and on the move.

Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of infusion and specialty medication and equipment, along with related supplies to clients.


Yurek Specialties Limited is seeking an
Operations Manager to join our team at a new infusion and specialty medication and medical supplies processing facility in the
Erie-St.

Clair area.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the Warehousing and Fulfillment, Logistics and Transportation, and Facility and Site Security departments.

They will partner with the Pharmacy Operations department to ensure clients receive the medication, equipment, and medical supplies they need, when they need it.

This position will report remotely to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Provide tactical and strategic leadership to a team of Warehouse, Fulfillment, Delivery, and administrative personnel.
  • Hire, onboard, develop, counsel, and coach leadership and nonleadership personnel to ensure their own development and the success of their teams
  • Run the daytoday business to achieve contractual objectives and targets
  • Continuously identify, lead, and implement projects, initiatives, and learnings to improve the overall department performance through leveraging Lean Six Sigma, Technology, Change Management, and other best practices
  • Identify synergies across locations to improve the overall performance of a department and create a One Yurek experience for employees and customers
  • Implement and sustain corrective actions to ensure bestinclass performance from the team or suppliers
  • Prepare annual operating budget and meet the commitments
  • Gatekeep of site KPIS and representation at leadership meetings.
  • Serve as an escalation point for any customer or patient concerns
  • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality, and HR policies and regulations
  • Ensure adherence and usage of SOPs and quality procedures, as per ISO guidelines and Yurek policies and procedures, throughout all departments
  • Work collaboratively with other functions and external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction is met or exceeded and internal opportunities for improvement are realized
  • Manages all 3rd party vendors to the same quality, timeliness, cost effectiveness, and delivery performance as outlined in any applicable contracts and to a similar standard as our own internal processes
  • Manages inventory and reconciles with financial and operational systems
  • Works with the Buyer to ensure Supply Chain delivery and quality issues are resolved
  • Reviews and approves manpower planning and work schedules inline with capacity and demand analysis for all areas
  • Manages expenses required for the daily operation of the fleet and warehouse
  • Ensures the timeliness of vehicle procurement, preventative maintenance, repair, and redeployment of assets across all sites
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Required Skills:


  • 5+ years' experience of Supply Chain senior level leadership
  • CPIM designation or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Experience using route planning software and MRP programs
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with inventory management software and databases
  • Familiarity with implementing technology in warehousing environments (robotics, scanning)
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate staff
  • Must have strong communication, conflict management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills
