Plant Manager (Calgary, AB)

Roswell Downhole Technologies (a division of PADM Group of Companies) is a market leader in materials technologies and is looking for a Plant Manager to support the organization's growth.
Responsibility for all aspects of facility and manufacturing operations including:

The development of plans and strategies to ensure that production plans are that the manufacturing facility is capable of meeting operational commitments;
Oversees the production planning process to ensure that effective resource planning takes place;
Oversees facility and maintenance activities to ensure safe work environment, and to optimize utilization;
Reviews and reports on business results and makes recommendations for improvements at the enterprise level, while improving processes within manufacturing operations;
Supporting the corporate strategic planning process;
Engages with customers as needed in coordination with sales and marketing to ensure customer requirements are understood and executed on as agreed;
Participates in design activities with engineering to ensure new products are designed to manufacture;
Prepares annual budgets and forecasts for the senior management team for approval;
Planning and implementing capital projects at the plant level with high levels of technical complexity;
Coleads the sales and operations planning process with the Sales team;
Leads and coordinates the provision of QC and QA support to the business;
Facilitates the growth and development of the management and staff to meet their potential and organizational needs;
Facilitates the development and deployment of operational excellence initiatives and systems.

Qualifications:

A post secondary degree in engineering or business;
10 years in manufacturing management with increasing responsibility;
Superior planning and project management skills;
Strong demonstrated leadership skills and experience;
Demonstrated budgeting and forecasting capability;
Well developed coaching and mentoring skills;
Experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement projects or kaizen;
Excellent people and communication skills;
Supervisory or management program certificate an asset;
An equivalent combination of skills and experience may be accepted.
