    Description

    GENERAL MANAGER

    We are looking for a General Manager to lead a newly completed manufacturing and R&D/Innovation facility in Eastern Canada for a global leader in infection control, single use, and preventive products. This role offers a competitive salary, bonus, benefits, and relocation assistance. The ideal candidate will report to the Executive Chairman.

    Purpose of the Position:

    • Run the new meltblown facility and eventually lead the innovation business
    • Make strategic decisions and drive operational excellence through strong leadership

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of the plant including Quality, Production, Finance, and HR
    • Monitor progress, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and develop employee programs

    After successfully managing the plant, the General Manager will transition to head of Innovation. In this role, the candidate will engage, develop, and manage a high-performing team, drive product development, and ensure regulatory compliance.

    Year One Critical Success Factors:

    • Achieve production targets, empower teams, and build relationships
    • Complete R&D lab setup, gain credibility, and develop talent

    Experience and Professional Qualifications:

    • 15+ years of experience in operations, preferably in the Meltblown industry
    • Strong leadership, communication, and team motivation skills
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in North America
    • Proven track record of setting goals and driving business performance

    Education:

    • Undergraduate degree required, MBA or Master's degree is a plus
