Position Summary
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the role of the Housekeeping attendant is to ensure that Cedars standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout Cedars Campus.
Specific Duties and Accountabilities
- Maintaining a current understanding of all Cedars policies and procedures in accordance with the Cedars People & Cedars Organization Manual
- Work with the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all sleeping areas, common rooms, and public areas.
- Daily cleaning of assigned tasks (rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas) while working alongside our staff to ensure the high standards of cleanliness as set forth.
- Continuously seek and make improvements to the overall housekeeping functions for Cedars at Cobble Hill
- Maintain supply levels, orderly supply closets & housekeeping home base along with the other housekeeping staff.
- Fill out supply and work order forms
- Deep cleaning of buildings during slow times and as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the leadership or supervisory team.
- Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in a Housekeeping role (preferred)
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with the various departments involved in the patient treatment process
- Ability to collaborate and problem solve with other team members including counseling, medical, administrative, and support staff
- A commitment to creating a positive environment conducive to healing for both patients and staff
