    Description

    The Role

    The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in the execution of our corporate strategy and long-term vision by contributing to our growth strategy, diversifying our sources of revenue and delivering added value to our members.

    Reporting the to the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and prioritizing new business concepts & partnerships that could provide value to CAA Members and/or all Atlantic Canadians.

    Qualifications

    The following skills and qualifications will be required to carry out this role:


    • University Graduate with a Business Degree (MBA would be considered an asset)

    • Innovative and dynamic, this person will be a problem solver

    • Entrepreneurial experience is an asset but not required

    • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented

    • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable

    Responsibilities

    What you will be doing on the job:


    • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

    • Analyze data to determine if a concept is a candidate to further pursue

    • Lead the review of key concepts with the Executive Leadership team

    • Evaluate alternative growth strategies including strategic partnerships, mergers & acquisition

    • Work with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, etc) to develop business plans for select concepts

    • Provide regular updates on the status of concepts that are currently being evaluated

    • Assist in the management and reporting of our corporate strategy
