Description:

This position is accountable for all training and learning needs for the Unify
  • Release 5 implementation.
  • Unify is an Enbridge enterprisewide, transformational program that is implementing standardized processes, ways of working and data, supported by its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems of Oracle Cloud and Maximo, throughout Enbridge.

Specific Accountabilities:


  • Leads all training activities for end user training and performance support, including:
  • Training Strategy & Approach
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Curriculum and training materials development
  • Training Delivery Approach
  • Enablement of Enbridge Process/Project Team Trainers
  • Effectiveness Measurement
  • Post Go-Live Training, including performance supports
  • Business Unit Sustainment Approach and Governance
  • Transition into Enbridge training steady state
  • Works with Functional Leads & Process Owners to build and review training deliverables
  • Works closely with Change Management and business unit change teams to ensure an integrated approach with the training team
  • Closely collaborates within OCM workstream to understand the impacts on stakeholder groups and roles to develop Training Needs Analysis
  • Develops, maintains and implements the detailed training workplan
  • Defines resource workload allocation
  • Owns relationship with any 3rd party vendors for related training & support functionality
  • Works with eLMS department as appropriate to align timelines and work efforts to follow enterprise standards and processes for loading training
  • Facilitates engagement, onboarding and support of training resources
  • Provides overall leadership to the training team
  • Monitors the quality of the overall development effort
  • Provides oversight of training logistics and delivery
  • Drafts and implements measurement tools on training effectiveness
  • Provides detailed reporting of training activities to project leadership
  • Identifies potential and actual risks to OCM plans and proposes mitigations to resolve
  • Ensures successful transition for related scope of work from ERP project to Enbridge training / learning function during program and into steady state.

  • Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible and deadline driven. Numerous, often competing interests, must be managed concurrently while providing strategic and operational oversight, negotiating and influencing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Related university degree and/or professional designation post secondary degree (in Business, Education, Human Resources or related field)
  • Fully qualified level role typically with ten or more years of directly related experience
  • Minimum five years' experience designing, leading, executing training plans on large systems, process and people change projects
  • Experience in leading large transformational training programs
  • Knowledge of training methodologies & tactics
  • Experience in establishing training strategies, implementing action plans, developing and monitoring budgets and managing staff and external resources
  • Experience in assessment and measurement of training needs specific to changes in business processes and systems
  • Familiar with both traditional and modern endtoend process training methods, trends and techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of training software for systems and process training, including eLMS, authoring tools (Articulate Storyline), content development and performance support
  • Knowledge, and successful implementation, of instructional design practices (ADDIE methodology)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency; familiarity with web delivery tools and other elearning solutions / supports
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influence and leadership skills. Verbal and written communication typically consists of the coaching, mentoring, motivating and ensuring organizational objectives are translated into the department's activities
