Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with inspection of facilities and premises to assess compliance with pertinent acts, regulations and bylaws such as food premises, personal service settings, and recreational water facilities.
- Assist with investigations regarding complaints, health hazards, and or communicable diseases.
- Collect samples for analysis to measure biological parameters in recreational water.
- Collect, interpret and report on laboratory test results.
- Work collaboratively with a team of certified Public Health Inspectors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
- Enrolled or completing an approved Environmental Public Health program that is recognized by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Competency in current computer programs (Microsoft Office).

Working Conditions
- Travel may be required between locations within Halton Region and GTA, incumbents must provide their own transportation.
- Flexibility in work schedule is required for after hours and weekend work.

- The incumbents will be required to provide a copy of their driver's license by their first day of employment.
