Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience providing administrative and clerical support, including reception duties, data entry, reporting, maintaining tracking systems, files and filing systems
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Effective written communication skills with experience proofreading, editing and formatting correspondence and reports with accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public and staff over the telephone and in person
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
Desired:
- Experience working with complex information systems or databases
Duties:
This position provides a variety of clerical and support services required by the department and by schools for the implementation of the provincial assessment program and other projects of the Learning and Outcomes Branch.
The Clerk is responsible for performing all specialized tasks related to the functioning of technology during events as well as more broad business and technology consulting skills to support the branch.
Areas of additional responsibility include monitoring branch mailboxes, completing pre-approval forms for meetings and in-service sessions, preparing for and managing clerical needs during presentations, managing filing systems and electronic platforms relating to the Collection of Assessment Results service and the respective help desk and providing reception backup.
