    Description

    Odyssey is working with a growing aerospace company to find an experienced IoT Developer. This is a full-time role and will be remote, but candidates should be in the Vancouver area.

    Job Summary

    As an IOT Software Designer you are a member of the Engineering Team and will focus on the commercialization of an IoT system which supports aircraft potable water systems. You will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for completing assigned software and data management tasks as part of a diverse team of designers and engineers.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Lead the development activities required to commercialize the data ecosystem to support the deployment of an IoT product. This includes optimizing data networks, server configurations, data processing software, user interface development, data security and SQL data analysis.
    • Participate in updating and refining the software in the existing IoT products.
    • Participate in the creation system documentation and technical specifications for the entire IoT support infrastructure.
    • Troubleshooting problems and completing root cause analyse of failures.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Graduation from a post-secondary computer science degree program preferred, other combinations of education and experience may be accepted.
    • In-depth understanding of full stack IoT software development techniques and implementation procedures.
    • Practical experience with IoT devices and support infrastructure (networks, servers, security user interface).
    • SQL database development and optimization.
    • Proficiency in software QA practices and version control systems.
    • Minimum 5-years related work experience required, 7-years related work experience preferred.
