Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:


As the Media Relations Specialist - Contractor you will manage the brand's North America media agencies, implementing a global strategy and supporting with day-to-day seeding and product requests, interviews, messaging and asset creation.

You support spokesperson management, and work with the leaders on the brand communications team to help us meet our storytelling objectives.

You are super detail oriented, great at juggling multiple things at once, are adept at prioritizing and have a bit of a project manager attitude - you're as comfortable tracking in excel as you are copyediting.


  • This role can be hired remote. Business operations occur on PST time zone.
  • Please be advised this is an external contract role, with a duration of 6 months.

  • Our team functions in a hybrid work model. We're in close touch virtually and come together to collaborate and support each other and the business.

If you were the Media Relations Specialist Contractor now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Managing our agency relationships and serving as their go-to for product and media inquiries
  • Supporting the communications strategic objectives which are to drive brand awareness and identity, innovation storytelling, and to protect brand integrity
  • Creating and meeting quarterly and postcampaign reporting and KPIs, working with agencies to cull and deliver relevant reports to internal stakeholders to socialize work and influence thinking
  • Managing media assets and toolkits
  • Managing daytoday responsibilities for the media inbox
  • Managing the media calendar, our internal enterprise calendar, and the Newsroom (external)
  • Project managing and facilitating compelling communication pieces and press materials relevant to product innovations and company news (in partnership with team)
  • Supporting media opportunities for Veilance and System_A

Are you our next Media Relations Specialist Contractor?:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in communications and/or 3 years professional communications experience.
  • You are proficient at excel
  • You preferably have a background in project management and copywriting experience
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You have demonstrated success project managing large, complex initiates.
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.
  • PR/media agency experience prioritized.
