    Description

    Klohn Crippen Berger seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Vancouver office within the Power and Transportation Group. This position will participate in the design of large dams and associated structures, emphasizing a technical leadership role. Experience on site assignments for hydropower projects (domestically and internationally) is a considered an asset.

    Duties will include:

    • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and drafters throughout the design phases from concept to final engineering.
    • Serve as a technical authority within project teams, offering guidance and expertise.
    • Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management.
    • Conduct site visits to gather pertinent data for design activities.
    • Foster professional communication and collaboration with clients.
    • Complying with company-established quality management systems throughout a project, and suggesting/implementing improvements as appropriate
    • Travel domestically and internationally for project requirements.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer with EGBC
    • 15+ years of experience in the design of large dams and appurtenant structures
    • Strong technical knowledge and detailed design capabilities in one field of civil engineering
    • Experience performing dam safety reviews and inspections
    • Proven record of project management and client management
    • Business development experience such as writing and leading proposals
    • Have large conventional hydro and pump storage experience (i.e., over 50−100 MW)
    • Ability to interface with other disciplines and understand the electrical, civil-structural, and mechanical design aspects and drawings of a project
    • Effective verbal and written communications skills in English, with demonstrated competent report writing skills
    • The capability to manage $1 Million+ projects

    The salary for this position is $120,000 to $190,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level. In addition to salary, total rewards includes:
