Position Summary:


Join the First Nations Health Authority as a Co-op Student in our Information Management and Information Technology team This is your chance to join a dun and dynamic team to learn new skills and gain experience in IT services and IT support.

Reporting to the Manager, IT User Services and Support desk, the student will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the IT Services Tier II Technical Support operations
  • Learn about the technical operations of a busy and advanced Information Management department in this unique, provincewide organization
  • Learn the basics of: windows imaging using SCCM, ServiceNow, maintain knowledgebase, learn networking technologies, get exposure to VoIP system, Microsoft Exchange, and active directory

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work to provide Service Desk and User Support, including:

  • Active Directory/VOIP telephones/multi-function devices
  • Assist in the collection and updating of information for each user.
  • Assist with the cleanup and organization of file share permissions
  • Create documentation as requested
  • Assist with troubleshooting of basic hardware/software issues
  • Assist in the review and testing of current documentation and offer suggestions for improvement

Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a formal coop program in Computer Sciences or related field of study
  • Prior experience in supporting and IT environment is an asset (hardware, software, operation systems, monitors, multifunction devices)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
