Communications Coordinator

Position:
Communications Coordinator


Type:
Temporary Full-time Contract (16 months with possible extension)


Work Location:
London North Central Catholic Family of Parishes, 511 Cheapside Street, London. ON

Commitment: 35 hours per week 8:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

***This role is a member of the parish administration support team and is responsible for the overall communications of and to the Family of Parishes in its various forms as well as data management, registration and documentation responsibilities.


SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work as a member of the parish support team.
  • Provide social media for the Family of Parishes that includes Website, Facebook, Instagram, Livestreaming, etc.
  • Coordinate the weekly Parish Bulletin by creating, printing, and distributing.
  • Provide parish level technical support to staff and leaders, as required.
  • Liaise with the Live Stream volunteers, as required.
  • Support the parish by providing direct service to the parishioners and public.
  • Coordinate new parishioner registrations.
  • Act as the key contact for software and platform subscriptions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excel at creating and implementing communication plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, MS Forms, etc.)
  • Creative mindset and technical skills to produce enticing designs/collateral in a pastoral context (i.e., Parish Bulletin, Lent/Advent rubrics/pamphlets/letters, parish posters/flyers)
  • Familiarity with live streaming and AV systems.
  • Knowledge of basic office workflow and use of equipment such as printers, folder machines, postage meter.
  • Ability to learn new software/systems: DDMS, Rise Vision, VOIP Phone System; and subscriptionbased platforms such as Zoom, , Ministry Pro, etc.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationship with pastoral, administration staff, parishioners, volunteers, and ISD for technical requirements.
  • Selfstarter: ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Aptitude for detail & accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
